Name:
Paul Foster
Nickname(s):
P-Money, Paul Wall
Hometown:
Born and raised in Tampa, FL
What do you do for a living?:
I work at First Citrus Bank as the only Traveling CSR/Teller they have.
What are your hobbies outside of TNL?:
Movies, fishing, hiking, video games, cooking and hanging out with friends.
What is your favorite food(s)?:
I love nachos of any kind and green apples.
What are your short-term and long-term goals?:
Short: Get into the Army Reserves
Long: Find a good job and be the best father and boyfriend I can be.
How/When I started TNL?:
I started January 1, 2011 and I came from another crossfit facility, that I was at for two years, because they were no longer meeting my fitness needs.
What keeps you coming back to TNL?:
I keep coming back to TNL because I enjoy the programming and the people. It’s great to walk into TNL knowing what the crazy WOD is and yet I still come almost every day. Plus on days when I’m sore or just not feeling up to par, I can just go run a few miles. Plus, in about 8 months of actually watching my diet and giving it my all at the WOD’s, at 26 I’m now fitting into clothes that I haven’t been able to wear since middle school. The feeling is very hard to beat.
Most memorable moment at TNL:
My favorite moments are the ones from early Saturday mornings during OLY when everyone around just enjoying themselves. Makes the 7am alarm worth it.
Favorite Exercise/WOD:
Favorite exercise would have to be running and WOD would be 21-15-9 of Dead Lifts (305) and Box Jumps (30in). That is because it’s the only WOD I had the fastest time.
Favorite Quote:
I have a few:
“Stop Sucking!!”,
“No Rep”,
and of course: “Hey Patrick, how do I get stronger?" "That's easy...squat more and eat bacon.”
Tell us something interesting about yourself:
After spending almost all my life as the big guy and maxing out every scale I stepped on (fyi: digital scales max out at 350 and give you an Error message if you're heavier than that), I’ve finally found what works for me. It took finding the right woman and the right group of people for me to focus on being healthy. Now, at 26, I’m weighing 230lbs (down from over 350) I have the best girlfriend (she’s a bad ass in the United States Air Force), a beautiful baby on the way and a great group of people to yell at me when I start to suck during WOD’s or running.
Any advice for new members?:
My only advice is to stick with it. Show up no matter what the WOD is and give it your all. Watch what you eat and don’t suck!
